1 John 4:21
"And He has given us this command: Whoever loves God must also love his brother."
How many people have said anything hurtful about a person behind their back today? This week? This month? This year? Yeah, we've all done it right?
Do you know what Urban Dictionary is? I didn't at first until a friend introduced it to me about it. I'm really not the 'ganster' type but let me try to define it for you...
Urban Dictionary is a dictionary written by various people all over the country. It expresses what they consider the definition of certain words. Here is an example of just some of the "better" words that I found on this site:
Moobs: A combination of the words "man" and "boobs". This is what happens when fat gathers in a male's chest area and gives him the appearance of having breasts.
Ghetto Fab: An individual from the hood with money that never moved out of the hood or an individual from the hood that has moved out and still has hood mentality. This person can be black or white. This person stays fly, rocking quality in style popular name brand clothes, top of the line whips, has expensive jewerly. This individual always brings their "A" everything is Grade A (official) no knock offs!
Ok...so naturally I wanted to explore a little and see what else they had on this website. I came across something that really hit home...
Here are urban dictionaries or also known as society's definition of Jesus:
---A man who was nailed to a plank for saying how nice it would be if everyone was nice to each other. Had this message misinterpreted by millions who now this it is their job to persecute certain groups of people (Christians).
Surprisingly the problem here doesn't lie on the image of Christ, it lays on the image of Christians and the scariest part...it's true!
Why exactly do you think non-Christians see us as "stuck up" or "stubborn" "hypocritical?" Why are we called these names?
Matthew 22:36-39
"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" Jesus replied: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it : 'Love your neighbor as yourself."
The bottom line is that we are instructed to LOVE. Out of all 66 books of the Bible the most important thing Jesus wants us to do is love. When Jesus loved us so much that he gaved us his life and we took it and decided to tell others how they do not love enough. We took it and decided it was up to us to judge who is cool and who is a nerd. Who is worthy and who is worthless. This is why "society" or Urban Dictionary defines us as a group of people who think it is there job to persecute.
In order to feel encouraged by each other and be able to encourage others, we must love. In order to love, we need to stop being so concerned in our anger with other people's actions and remember that we caused so much harm to God but he still loves and holds on to us.

You Call, He'll Answer
Isaiah 58:9 (the message)
Then when you pray, God will answer. You'll call out for help and I'll say, "Here I am."
I think that is the coolest thing ever to know that God, of this WHOLE universe, creator of everything, will answer our calls when we cry out to Him. And he'll do it quickly! He won't put us on hold and give us music to listen to while we're waiting or miss our call and leave a voicemail. He's right there!
In order for God to reveal Himself to us, we must in obedience show God how we love Him through our acts of worship.
